Visa Information

Dear participants,

Those who need a Russian visa to be able to join the International Conference “UNESCO between two Phases of the World Summit on the Information Society” to be held on 17-19 May, 2005 in Saint-Petersburg should be aware of the information required well in advance to be provided to the Organizing Committee, namely:

• Your name, date & place of birth
• Citizenship
• Country of residence
• A digital or fax copy of your passport (the first 2 pages with photo)
• The city where you will obtain your visa in the Russian consulate
• Full name of your organization, your position, address, phone, fax
• Dates of your visit to Russia
• What cities of Russia are you going to visit.

Please, check you passport expiration date - it should be no less than 6 months (!) after your visit.

Please send the above information no later than 15 April 2005!

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will send a personal invitation to the Russian consulate in your country. The Organizing Committee will send you the invitation number and the appointed date of your visit to the Russian consulate. Only then you may call the consulate and ask for the visa. You should pay for the visa to the Russian consulate. We recommend you to call the consulate in advance to know your visit day and time as well as visa cost.
